Origami Lucky Stars
Print (or Buy) the Paper
You can buy paper strips that are already cut, or you can find really cool paper strips on web sites such as deviantART, an cut the strips yourself :)
Cut the Strips (if Printed)
Takes time, but I think it's better than spending a ton of money on paper :/
Simple Knot
Just make the basic loop at one end (if your paper is like the one I'm using here, an is half white, and half decorated, you want the knot to be on the white part)
Put Away the Extra Paper
Tuck that tiny piece of paper inside the hexagon that your knot made. Depending on its length, you might have to trim it a bit, but DO NOT cut it all the way off!!! You want to tuck it in!
Wrap Your Star
Start wrapping your long strip around your hexagon so that the pattern shows. All you have to do is flip the hexagon, an the paper will pretty much go where it's supposed to. Don't try to force your paper or wrap it too tightly.
Tucking Again
Ou will be left with a little piece of paper at the end, just like when you started. All you do is tuck it in under the two layers that it ends at... The little Y shape.
Puffing :3
Now that you have a cute little hexagon, it's time to make it a star! :D
To do this, simply push in the flat sides.
Repeat :)
These are really addictive to make :) I've made over 1,000 in a single week before XD
When you have a lot of them, there are all sorts of things you can do with them :) I like to put a coat of clear enamel on them and make jewelry :3
