Ornate Crochet Flower Rectangle Tablemat

Today am sharing the pattern for Ornate Crochet Flower Rectangle Tablemat. Its a Clover Flower Pattern. Its made in a continuous pattern one after the other where the first half of the flower chain is made followed by the upper half. You can easily turn it to any shape you wish to make ,be it a Square or a Rectangle.

I have seen many versions of these flower motif being made. They can be worked individually and can be joined by sewing with a yarn needle. The other way is to only make the center motifs and then finishing off the side motifs. Am sure you will enjoy making this placemat either way.

4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn

4 mm Crochet Hook

Round 1:-

Start with a Slip Knot

**Chain 9.

Slip Stitch into the 6th Chain from the hook.(this will make the Ring)

1 Slip Stitch each into the remaining 3 Stitches.(this will make 1 Treble Crochet)

3 Treble Crochets into the Ring.

Chain 4.

Slip Stitch into the ring.(this will make the 5th Treble Crochet - that's total 5 Treble Crochets made in the First Petal)

Chain 4.

4 Treble Crochets into the ring.(this will make the 2nd petal)**

Make sure that each petal has 5 Treble Crochets.

Repeat from ** to ** untill the size needed.

To make the Last Petal:-

Chain 4.

3 Treble Crochets into the Ring.

Chain 4.

Slip Stitch into the ring

How to make a Treble Crochet??...here it is.....!!

Yarn over hook twice, insert hook in the Stitch and Pull up a loop.(4 loops on hook).
Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops remain on hook).
Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops remain on hook).
Yarn over, pull 2 loops on hook (1 treble crochet complete).

Round 2:-

Chain 4.

3 Treble Crochets into the Ring.

Chain 4.

Slip Stitch into the ring.(1st Petal made)

Chain 4.

4 Treble Crochets into the ring.(2nd Petal made)

**Continue working into the next Ring.

4 Treble Crochets into the next ring.

Chain 4.

Slip Stitch into the ring.(1st Petal made)

Chain 4.

4 Treble Crochets into the ring.(2nd Petal made)**

Repeat from ** to ** untill the last Petal.

To make the Last Petal:-

Chain 4.

3 Treble Crochets into the Ring.

Chain 4.

Slip Stitch into the ring and weave off.

Round 3:-

**This Round we will be working from Left to Right.

Join the Yarn into the 4th Chain of the 2nd Petal from Left Side.

Chain 9.

Slip Stitch into the 6th Chain from the hook.(this will make the Ring)

1 Slip Stitch each into the remaining 3 Stitches.(this will make 1 Treble Crochet)

4 Treble Crochets into the Ring.(that's the 1st Petal made)

**In this round the 1st flower will have only 1 Petal.

**Chain 9.

Slip Stitch into the 6th Chain from the hook.(this will make the Ring)

1 Slip Stitch each into the remaining 3 Stitches.(this will make 1 Treble Crochet)

3 Treble Crochets into the Ring.

Remove the hook, insert it into the 4th Chain of the 1st Petal of the next flower. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.

Chain 4.

Slip Stitch into the ring.(this will make the 5th Treble Crochet)

Chain 4.

Remove the hook, insert it into the 4th Chain of the 2nd Petal and Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.

4 Treble Crochets into the Ring.**

Repeat from ** to ** untill the size needed.

To make the Last Petal:-

After joining into the last petal ,make 3 Treble Crochets into the Ring.
