PB&J Rollups

Have you ever been looking forward to lunch and suddenly realize that, you have NO FOOD? You open all the cabinets and the fridge to find anything at all. But can't find anything but cheese, peanut butter, a basically empty jar of jelly, and some honey. Peanut butter and jelly sounds fine, but oh wait! There's no bread!-.- But hey, there's some left over tortillas from taco night. That's close enough to bread, right?

(True Story)

Well here's an easy little snack just for those kind of situations.

Find What You Can

What You Need:

  • Tortillas
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly

Other things you could use:

  • Nutella
  • Honey
  • Thin Slices of Fruit
  • Almond/Cashew/Pecan/Soybean Butter
  • What ever else you might put on PB&J

First Layer

Get a tortilla shell out and spread some peanut butter, or whatever you substituting it with, on it. It's better if you don't get too close to the edges so it won't be as messy.

Second Layer

Now it's time for the jelly (or whatever you use instead). Scrape out some jelly onto the tortilla and spread it around a little.

Add Whatever Else

Now put on anything your little heart desires.

  • Add fruit
  • Honey
  • Other spreads
  • Pickles (Heard it but haven't tried it)
  • Bacon bits (Heard it, haven't tried it)
  • Etc.

Roll It Up!

Tightly roll the tortilla up kind of like a burrito (You could even do some fancy side folding if you want). It should hold together well since it sticks to itself.

Other Things You Could Do

You can do all sorts of other things with these.

For example, you could:

  • Cook them over a fire
  • Grill them
  • Or even make pinwheels for a great party snack

Enjoy!!!(:
