PC Build
Today your going to build your own PC! Why should you? Because you know what parts is going into your PC.
Supplies
Motherboard
Power supply
CPU
GPU (optional)
Storage
RAM
Thermal Paste
CPU Cooler
This is what I used:
Intel Core i3-8100 (includes stock fan)
EVGA 500 BA, 80+ BRONZE 500W
B365M-HDV (LGA 1151)
Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SSD (250GB)
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR4 2400 (8 GB)
MASTERBOX MB511
Disassemble the Case
Remove both case panels, usually held on by screws and locked into place by slots in the case.
RAM
Begin building your PC outside the case, start by inserting the RAM into the RAM slot on the motherboard. Open the slot and then push the stick(s) into place in each slot.
Storage
For our build we used an M.2 drive that goes directly on the motherboard. If you don't have an M.2 just plug in to the SATA. Insert the M.2 drive into the slot into the motherboard and screw it down.
CPU
Open the bracket, line up the triangle to the triangle either on the motherboard on the socket. Drop the CPU into the socket and lock it down, careful not the bend the pins. Remove the plastic casing off the socket.
CPU Cooler
Put the CPU cooler on the bracket and lock down, if it doesn't come with thermal paste put a pea sized dot on the CPU. Plug into motherboard.
PSU
Connect the power supply to motherboard, 4/8 pin for the CPU and the 20/24 pin for the rest of the board. If you have a HDD or a SSD connect that too. Test that the build boots up correctly.
PSU to Case
Unplug the power supply from the motherboard. Screw it into the case
Motherboard to Case
Screw in the stand offs into the case, then insert the IO Shield. Screw down the motherboard into the standoffs.
Plug Everything In
Plug everything in, use the manual for the motherboard to connect the case to the motherboard.
Rebuild Case
Put back the case parts and plug in and test again. Your done!
