WARNING: THIS INSTRUCTABLE AND COURSE WAS MADE BY STUDENTS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! I made this for a project in school for STEM class.

GETTING MATERIALS

You will get the PVC from your local department store and they can be whatever size you prefer. They will end up looking like the images. The obstacles are actually really simple to make. You will want to get as many elbows as possible as more could be used based on the size of the PVC. Then by a few Ts.

The Roundabout

The obstacle will actually be the last in the course. The PVC will be a long one for the main part of the stick. The part has two T shaped parts. on the top to show that the drone should turn around. The instructions will be in place by the images as they would be a better source than I explaining it.

The Platform

This is the starting point for the drones. It is made of some wood. 6 blocks of wood about 4 inch by 4 inch should be fine. There is then a thin piece of plywood placed on top of the wood. Then insert as many nails as necessary.

Another Part

This one is made out of more PVC. It is the most complicated out of the obstacles. It has four main frames in it. Then you can put this pretty much anywhere. It is extremely versatile and can be one of the harder ones to make though.

A Rectangle

IMG_2692.JPG

This obstacle is a rectangle. Find two equally sized pieces then two smaller equally sized pieces you may need to modify the pieces to be equivalent. Then connect the pieces with four elbow connectors.

Another One

This one is similar to the hard one. It has multiple areas the drones can fly through. The bottom the middle and the top. This one needs 2 large equally sized pieces and 3 equal medium pieces that fit between the large pieces. Any of this may need to be modified. You then create the stands for these with a large base and maybe a piece that goes behind the obstacle to hold it up.

Playing With the Drones

You can create a point system for more risky parts of the course or just play around with the course. Be sure to have the ability to instantly break the drone when you start the course, as that would be bad. BE SURE TO HAVE FUN!
