Painted Tennis Shoes

I spilled fingernail polish on one of my tennis shoes. I didn’t want to throw them out so I decided to fix them. I painted a butterfly to cover the polish. I painted the other shoe to match.

What do you do when you spill fingernail polish on a tennis shoe. I decided to try and paint over it. I first decided to draw a butterfly over the polish. If you are not sure what to put try and think of something with lots of colors. You can then google clipart images to help you see what to draw. Flowers, butterflies or even different swirl designs can work. I drew the butterfly with chalk and made sure it was big enough to cover the fingernail polish.

I used paint pens to fill in the design of a butterfly. I decided to use different colors to cover the fingernail polish. You may need to paint two coats of paint depending on the paint pens that you have.

Once I finished the first shoe, I painted the same design on the other shoe. Now every time I wear my shoes someone wants to know where I got my shoes. So if you spill paint, polish or just stain your shoes try painting over the spill to fix your shoes.
