Pallet Cabinet

This is a great projects if you have a lot of spices of food stuff you have to put somewhere. The cabinet can hold around 12 mason jars, 4 on top and 8 on the bottom. It only takes about 2 or 3 hours. And you need three 120 by 10 by 2cm or 47 by 3.9 by 0.8 inch pallet planks. You will also need screws and wood glue.

First you want to cut The planks in two 40 cm or 15 inches, and two 20 cm or 7.8 inches. You also have to cut one 20 cm or 7.8inch plank, then you have to cut this plank in half so it is 5 cm instead of 10( or whatever the half width of you plank is). Then sand everything so make it all smooth.

Now you have to cut the angled front piece. This piece is also 40 cm or 15.7 inches high. You have to cut it so you can get two angled pieces out of one 40 cm or 15.7 inch pallet plank. You also have to make sure that you have around 2 cm or 1 inch at the top so it isn't sharp. Then just sand it smooth.

Now you have to cut the back piece. The material is the same as the one I used in the raised garden box 2. It's very thin and easy to cut. It has to be 40 cm by 24 cm or 15.7 by 9.4 inches. Now you have to cut six holes for screws on both side so it can be screwed in the wood.

Now you have to assemble everything. In the pictures you can see how. But when you assemble you have to make sure that on the bottom floor of the cabinet the small plank is in the back so the front bigger plank connects to both the angled piece and the piece behind it. You also have to do this with the second floor. It doesn't really matter where you place the second plank. But you just have to make sure that the jars fit on the bottom plank. You might even need to make the second floor a little bit shorter. Now you can put on the back plate, you just have to put screws in the holes you drilled.

Now you have to grab 6 hanging screws. 3 of them go one the top floor and 3 go on the bottom floor. On the side you put two in the wall and in the middle you just put one in the floor. Then you pull through a wire, you don't have to make it very tight. To make the wire go tight you just screw in the middle hanging screws, the wire will then wrap around the middle hanging screw.
