Paper Garland

A few quick snip-snips and this garland is all ready! This decoration would be the perfect touch to your room.

Supplies

  1. Small scraps of paper (about 1” x 2” — I used 14 of them for a 3 foot garland)
  2. Scissors
  3. Needle and thread

Cut It

Using your scissors, cut a sort of zig-zag pattern on the paper as shown in the 1st picture above. Then pull both ends of the paper apart so that it takes a shape similar to the 2nd picture.

Repeat this step until you have the number of tiny decorations you want. I made 14.

String It

Thread your needle and push it through the tops of all the paper decorations. Choose the length you want for your garland and cut the thread. Then tie the ends into knots.

Finish It

After completing the last step, your garland might be a bit of a mess right now. Make sure you untangle all the paper and spread them out evenly along the string. Then hang it up!
