Paper Lillacs

This is a simple tutorial on how to make paper lilacs. I ran out of lilac (or "purple") colored paper, so lets pretend the white paper is lilac colored. Enjoy!

You will need lilac (purple) paper, green paper, tape or glue, and scissors.

Make the Stem

Grabbing the green paper, have a corner facing towards you. Starting at the corner facing you, roll from the corner up as thin as you can to make the stem. Tape or glue the paper to maintain the stem shape.

Cut the Purple Paper

Take your "purple" paper and cut it in half. Cut it in half by the line shown above in the first picture. The result should be the size of the second picture

Fold the Cut Paper

Take one of the half pieces and fold it in half (as shown by the line in the image). The other half can be used for another flower or discarded.

Cut the Petals

Having the crease of the folded paper facing you, cut multiple slits to get something similar to image 2.

Assemble the Flower

Lay the stem to form a right angle triangle in the corner. Then, wrap the "purple" paper around the stem tightly. Secure the bottom with tape or glue once the wrap reaches its bottom.

Look at Your Lilac!

This is what your lilac should look like in the end! Make as many as you need to make a bouquet!
