Pasta Drying Rack

How to make your very own pasta drying rack.

Saw up your timber into.

-two lengths 400mm long and 29mm square,

-one length 390mm long and 29mm square,

-one length 330mm long and 29 by 36mm rectangular.

Four pieces total.

Next give all your pieces of wood a sand.

I would highly recommend using an electric sander as this will speed up the process.

Cut up all of your dowel

You will need,

-Two lengths of dowel 10mm round and 350mm long,

-eight lengths of dowel 10mm round and 600mm long,

Ten pieces total.

You shouldn't need to sand this dowel because it is already round, however if there are any rough patches I would recommend smoothing these.

Next mark the holes for your dowel, twelve in all.

Drill out all of your holes.

Be careful while drilling the two supporting pieces because you only want to drill these ones 20mm deep.

Here is what the wood looks like when drilled.

Next center and glue the two supporting feet to the cross bar, you will need to clamp these ones.

Center your eight pieces of dowel.

When you glue these into place remember to pull the dowel out 25mm before you apply the glue, wipe the glue all the way around the 25mm section and push into place.

Wipe off any excess glue and push your two supports into the holes in the base, pick up your top frame and slot into the standing up lengths of dowel.
