Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie

omg.jpeg

Hi! I made this a long time ago in 4th grade and wanted to see if I could make it better than before (I did) with a revamped recipe. :D

Supplies

-one pie crust (for this serving it is a 9 in pre-bought pie, you can buy it or make it yourself :) )

For the peanut butter filling:

-350 grams of cream cheese

-125g of powdered sugar

-167g of peanut butter

-around 2g of vanilla extract

-80mL of heavy cream

For the chocolate ganache

-107mL of heavy cream

-83g of dark chocolate (or bittersweet!)

Get the Pie Crust

For the first time, you can either buy a pie crust or make one yourself! In this case, I bought a 9-inch pie crust. Also remember to bake it before any of the other steps.

Make the Filling

To make the filling, add the cream cheese and powdered sugar to a bowl and mix it until fully mixed (smooth). Then, add the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and mix till creamy. For the third step, add the heavy cream in and mix until smooth. Lastly, put the filling that was finished into the pie crust of your choice, put the whole pie (with just the filling) into the refrigerator for at least 6+ hours (preferably overnight).

Make the Chocolate Ganache

Next, put the heavy cream (for the chocolate ganache) into pan and turn on low heat. When it starts forming small bubbles turn off the heat. After, add in the dark chocolate and mix until smooth. Then, leave it in the pan for a little bit so it cools down (you do not want to add it into the pie when it's still hot, it will melt the peanut butter filling!!). For the fifth step, pour the ganache into the pie crust on top of the peanut butter filling. The last step is to put the whole pie in the refrigerator for at least 1+ hour.

Enjoy the Pie!!!

After everything is cooled down and solid, you can take the pie out of the refrigerator and cut it into pieces like the image shown. I hope you enjoy this recipe and pie as much as I do!! (((o(*°▽°*)o)))
