Do you love Ping-Pong but hate other people?

Are you feeling anti-social but aspire to be great like Ma Long?

Do you want to train to be the best paddler but can't afford those pesky private lessons?

Then look no further than Personal Ping-Pong! Whether you are playing outside or in this summer, on vacation or at home, It's cheap, simple to make, and doesn't require anyone else!

Parts

You will need the following:

  • 8 x 16 x 3/4 inch Plywood
  • 8 x 2 x 3/4 inch Plywood
  • 6 x 1 inch diameter wooden dowel
  • Three Screws
  • Paint
  • Ping-Pong ball

Drill Hole for Handle

Find the center of the ping-pong table by marking from corner to corner. Drill and countersink a clearance hole for the screw to hold the handle in place.

Attach Handle

Drill a pilot hole as close to the center of the dowel as possible. Using a three inch screw, attach the handle to the ping-pong table.

Attach 'Net'

Drill and countersink two clearance holes in the center of the ping-pong table. Clamp the net in place and drill two pilot holes. Attach using screws.

Finish Sanding

Using some wood filler, fill any imperfections in the edge of the plywood and sand smooth.

Primer

Cover the pieces in primer to get an even coat of paint.

Paint

Cover the handle in black, net in white, and the ping-pong table in green paint.

Tape Off Lines

Using painters tape, cover everything other than 1/2 inch strips along the edges and down the middle.

Paint

Cover the top in paint and once dry, remove tape.

Assemble

Using screws, assemble the table. Go and be great!
