Personalised Kinder Surprise Gift
In this instructable I'll show you how to personalise a good old Kinder Surprise with a (small!) gift of your own choice. It can be an original way of giving somebody some birthday money for example.
It takes about 10 minutes to prepare.
What You Need
- A Kinder Surprise egg (obviously)
- A sharp knife
- An aluminium plate or a pan
- A heating source (a stove/small fire/3D-printer etc. for example)
Peeling Off the Foil
Start by gently peeling off the aluminium foil from the egg. Take your time and be careful not to damage it! When you think you can take out the chocolate egg, there's no need to continue peeling, but just carefully take it out.
Cut the Egg in Halves
Use the knife to gently cut over the original joint line of the egg. Don't push to hard since it might damage the egg!
Take Your Personalised Gift
Take the yellow egg and take out the original -often useless ;) - gift and replace it with some of your own! In this example, I replaced it with a 5 euro bill. You could also leave the yellow egg out and replace it with something totally different, like some jewelry for example.
Applying Some Heat
Heat up the aluminium plate or pan, using the heating device of your own choice. I used the heatbed of my 3D printer, since it applies the heat very gently.
Joining the 2 Parts
When the chocolate gets smushy, take the two halves, insert your present and gently press the 2 halves onto each other. Now let it cool down before you continue.
Finish
After cooling down, use the knife to smoothen the edge and repack it in the original foil!
You now have a very personal Kinder Surprise egg. :)
