Photo Holder

You probably have many photos which don't see the light of day. Change that by making a free standing photo holder. There's even two styles to choose from. The photos I placed on the photo holder were taken with a Beer Can Pinhole Camera.

Suitable plastic moulds

Cement

Wooden paint stirrer

Thin length of dowel

Alligator clip

• Make a base for the photo holders by mixing up some cement and pouring into some small plastic moulds. I used the plastic packaging which a salad had came in.
• Place either a thin piece of dowel in the middle of the setting cement or part of a wooden paint stirrer. Make sure it goes to the bottom of the mould. It may need some support to ensure it stands vertical.

• The mould with the dowel in the middle will hold one large photo.
• Remove from the mould when the cement has set and push the dowel down from the top. Make the hole larger if required using a drill.
• Spray paint the base mat black if you so desire.
• Cut a thin length of dowel and insert it though the top of the base.
• Add an alligator clip to the top of the dowel.
• Attach a large photo to the alligator clip. You may need to blue tac some cardboard behind the photo to make it stiff.

• The mould with the wooden paint stirrer will hold 3 landscape photos.
• Remove from the mould.
• Insert a wooden paint stirrer.
• Attach 3 landscape photos to the paint stirrer using blue tac.
