Pi Day Puzzle!
In honor of Pi day I've created a puzzle!
Warning:
The steps that follow will give hints to how the puzzle works and will ultimately explain the solution.
Make It Simpler
First, begin by viewing the puzzle with only three circles. The original puzzle's complexity is meant to distract the puzzle solver from observing the basic rules this puzzle follows. Once it makes sense why the colors are the way they are, it will lead to insight on how to interpret the code found at the bottom.
What Numbers?
The title of this puzzle seems to be "Color by Number". They are clearly colors, but where are the numbers? As seen in the previous step, the number of circles circling an area defines the color. For example, any area circled by 1 circle is orange, any area circled by 2 circles is blue and so on.
The Solution
At this point, we have colors associated with numbers except for the color black. Plug in the numbers you have anyway and you see it turns into 3, black, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9. From here, anyone familiar with the the dessert should recognize this is pi and that the black circle is actually acting as the decimal point!
