Place Card Clothespin
A silly little thing like a clothespin can be furbished into a cute decorating item.
I have made use of such clothespins as table number holders or place cards at a party table.
These are very cheap, easy to make and even more fun creating them.
Materials
For this project you will need
wooden clothespins
pencil
fine markers(red, brown, black)
glue
tissue paper or white backing paper
acrylic paints-black and white
a fine paintbrush.
cardstock paper and scissors
Place the wooden pin flat.
With the pencil draw the hairline as shown.
paint in the hair,I used brown but you can alter it to brown, yellow or black.
Draw the neckline as a 'V'
Paint one side white, the other side white only till the spring of the clip. Paint the remaining portion of this other part black.
Add the Fine Details
With a fine liner marker, draw in eyes (black). I know it isn't fair but the girls has been given long eyelashes the guy just a dash.
Make red lips for the girl.
Draw a small bread for the guy if you like...you can use your fantasy to personalize these characters.
Draw a small bow with black liner
Attaching the Veil
Cut out a small rectangle out of the tissue paper. Fold it alternately and then with the help of glue press it firmly on the bride side of the pin.
Write the date and name if you wish on the sides of the pins.
Making the name card:
Cut out rectangles of yardstick paper.
cut out an inverted 'V' at one side. Lift up this V and twist it over.
Cut out the remaining piece from the Rectangle.
Write in the name, decorate it as you wish.
Making Name Tags
Making the Place Card:
Cut out rectangles of yardstick paper. cut out an inverted 'V' at one side. Lift up this V and twist it over. Cut out the remaining piece from the Rectangle. Write in the name, decorate it as you wish. clamp in the V tag in the clothes pin.
The Place cards are done.
you could use them in a multiple of way. Make them stand upright on the table holding the name tags, lay them flat or clip them onto the wineglass or clip them on the favor boxes............
