Plastic Bag Curtains
Hi there, I'm a middle school art teacher who loves helping students discover their untapped creativity. I created plastic bag curtains for my art room to show a nontraditional material being used to create fabric. No store brands are affiliated with this post.
Supplies
- Plastic Bags
- Teflon Paper
- Iron
- Ironing Board
- Face Mask
Gather Supplies
Gather your supplies:
- Plastic Bags
- Teflon Paper
- Iron
- Ironing Board
- Face Mask
- Wire and hooks (if planning to hang as curtains)
Ironing
- Turn iron on low to medium heat.
- Place two plastic bags on ironing board overlapping at least an inch.
- Place teflon paper over the overlapping area.
- Place hot iron on top of the teflon paper moving the iron evenly over the teflon paper. Do this for about 15-30 seconds and then check to see if the bags are sticking to each other. Increase heat slightly or apply iron longer if needed.
- Continue adding one bag at a time to achieve desired size of fabric.
