Play With a Hex Nuts

If you are gamers, hold more than 13 hex nuts on the edge of a glass ?

Take the column of 13 hex nuts.

Then place it on the edge of a glass.

It might seem complicated but in fact it's very easy.

It is not attached, are not glued.

Pretty cool ! Is not it ?

Place two bottles or other objects of identical height.

Then add a ruler or wooden board on top.

I use very large magnet in neodymium which allows me to make a very very important attraction.

Place a magnet on top and a magnet on the underside of the wooden ruler.
Then place the glass under the magnets.

Glue the nuts on the magnet from below one after the other.

Adjust to align as much as possible.

Take the first nut that touches the magnet.

Attention the magnet can do all missed.

Hold the magnet and detach the nuts.

Keep the column between the magnets and the glass.

Then place the column on the edge of the glass.

And find the point of balance.

Start with a few nuts then increase the distance gradually.

I use very large magnets in neodymium which allows me to make a very very important attraction and consequently to have 13 nuts. For fun you can retrieve the neodymium magnets in a hard drive or more simply on speakers.

If you have a lot of hard drive you can stick the magnets between them to get a stronger magnet.

If you are a gamer I look forward to seeing the number of nuts you are going to keep in balance.

To give a cool effect, hold the column in equilbre and the output of the singing of the camera (beware this operation is risky).
