Add some style to any polo shirt with a little fabric.

How to Add Style to your Old Polo Shirts (Re-Fashion DIY Tutorial)

You'll Need

1/4 yard of fabric that matches your shirt

Sewing machine

Straight pins

Needle and thread

Iron and ironing board

Ruler and paper to make your patterns

Create Your Pocket

Make your pocket pattern in paper making sure to add 1/2" seam allowance around the edges and 1" at the top.

Cut it out in fabric and iron in the seam allowance and hem at the top.

Placket

Measure your placket

Cut a piece of fabric that is the size of your placket plus 1/2 all the way around

Iron in the seam allowance

Pin

Remove the buttons on your placket

Pin the pocket and placket cover in place

Stitch the Pocket

Stitch around the pocket making sure to back tack at the opening on both sides.

Stitch in the placket as close as you can to the ironed edges of the fabric

Replace the buttons

Done!
