Pool Noodle Man

An armature to dress, move and shape. Waterproof. Save and use over and over. Feel free to improve on this design. Everything is a work in progress.

Lets Begin

You will need 6 Pool Noodles and 1 dust pan from your Dollar Store. Medium gauge wire, something that will bend and a brick.

Pool Noodle Measurements

1 NOODLE = 3 SPINES EACH 15 INCHES.
1 NOODLE = COLLAR BONE AND UPPER ARMS EACH 15 INCHES.
1 NOODLE = PELVIS AND UPPER LEGS EACH 15 INCHES.
1 NOODLE = CUT IN HALF = 2 BOTTOM LEGS.
1 NOODLE = 2 LOWER ARMS EACH 12 INCHES AND 1 NECK/HEAD 12 INCHES.
1 NOODLE = 2 HANDS AND 2 FEET ABOUT 5 INCHES EACH.  


 

Step 1

Measure half way across the Pelvis section and poke a hole through the noodle.

Make an X with your knife on both sides and push through the PELVIS

Side Spine over dustpan handle.

Measure half way across Collar Bone section and cut Hole.

Slide Collar Bone over dustpan handle.

Step 4

Thread wire through upper and lower leg. Poke hole with wire through Pelvis. Repeat.

The two wires should be about 90 inches long.

Pierce the Pelvis and bring wire from leg thru the wire thru the hole in noodle and attach the remaining spines to the Collar Bone.

Pierce noodle and pull thru.

Add Upper Arms by running one long piece of wire through Noodle Holes.

Wire should be long enough on both sides to attach lower arms.

Step 7

Attach lower arms. Leave enough wire to ad hands and feet if you want.

Slide Head/Neck over the Dustpan Handle and add Hands and Feet.

Ta Da!

An armature to dress, move and shape. Waterproof.

Save and use over and over. But wait...there is more....

Note: if you bend the wire over at the end it is easier to slide through noodles.



Add the Brick

Take a plastic milk gallon jug...rinse clean and cut a hole to fit the noodle. Fit jug over head for a base.
