Portable RCA Projector

This is my first instructable! It tells you how to make your own portable projector that you can take anywhere!
Here are the materials needed:
-Ruler (to cut straight lines)
-Sharp knife and scissors (to cut binder cardboard)
-Wire Cutters (what I use to strip wires)
-Screwdriver with small head (to take apart Monitor)
-3.5 inch TFT LCD Monitor
-2 Binocular lens with rings (the big lens)
-One black binder
-One 9vDC Plug
-One 9vDC Heavy Duty Battery Clip
-One standard 9v battery

The first step is to cut out some  cardboard from your black binder and use it to construct a small box that will house your monitor.
You also have to glue each lens to their rings (with the curved part facing up), and then proceed to gluing them together, with one on top of the other. Please note that the cardboard box is not the actual housing and will only be used to mark the size and shape of your flexible housing. Next proceed to gluing the lens into a hole that you must cut out from the box. Make sure the hole is centered or your imaged will not be perfect.

Take apart your 3.5 inch TFT LCD Monitor with your screwdriver and remove the actual display. Be careful though as it is very fragile.
Next cut the monitors video and power wires and then splice them together to shorten the cable's length.

In this step you will take your 9vDC plug,and splice it together to your Heavy duty 9v battery clip. Splice them together so that you have a very small cable. Remember, you are trying to make this as portable as possible!

For the this step you will simply power on the monitor and place it in the box to determine how far away it should be from the lens in order to achieve good focus. Don't forget that the lens will mirror the image, so you will be installing the monitor upside down.

Now you should know the distance it takes to achieve proper focus. You now have to cut out a small box from your binder's flexible black material and crease it so that you can fold it in and out. Then glue it to the piece of cardboard with the lens on it. After this glue the other ends of the flaps to the monitor's edges.

For this step simply experiment were the rubber feet should be positioned in order for the projector to be stable. Once the proper locations are determined, glue on the rubber feet. I glued on the front rubber feet at an angle so that the projector would be slanted upwards.

Congratulations! You now have yourself a portable RCA projector! For sound simply plug in the audio port from your DVD player or TV box into a stereo player to achieve surround sound! I apologize for not uploading a picture of the projectors image, my camera would not pick it up due to lighting issues. Don't forget that projectors work best in dim lighting!
