For this project you will need very little, very inexpensive, supplies

  • 2 yards of pink tinsel covered wire

  • Scissors
  • plain white straw (or some sort of sturdy straw like object this will be the wand handle)

Cut Supplies

IMAG1117.jpg

Cut wire (measure using your child's head) and cut ribbon into six strands 2 yards each.

Form Crown

IMAG1119.jpg

Using your child's head as a guide form the circle of the crown wrapping excess wire around itself and add the six strands of ribbon to one side of the crown

Curl Ribbon

Use scissors to curl the ribbon all the way down. this takes time and patience so if you don't get it the first time try again.

The Crown Is Finished

Now that your crown is finished its time to do the wand

Fold Wire

Fold wire in a zig zag pattern then connect on each end to a straw

Finishing Touches

wrap each end around the straw securely you may want to add a dab of hot glue allowing it to dry completely before allowing a child to get a hold of it. you can also add some of the ribbon from the crown around the base to make it match exactly.
