Pumpkin of the Void

This pumpkin is not from the netherworld, it was reversed in the void ..

I never understood why people took their best looking pumpkins to rot in their frontyard. By letting the decorated skin become the face with a lamp inside you can reduce the need for quality of your cucurbita. And it looks more intimidating.

Ingredients:

Use the kitchen knife to cut off the bottom. Remove the seeds with a spoon.

On the pumpkin you draw a the face that you want on good parts of the skin. Then you remove all the skin with the chisel around it. In step 1 you can see how I did it in slow motion.

When you are done your pumpkin is probably too dense and needs more carving.

You put the LED or lamp inside and can see which parts need to be stripped off. If you are skilled, you can actually hear when you have removed enough of the flesh.

By removing different layers you get colour effects of yellow, orange and red. Can you do this when you just cut holes in it?

At daylight your finished pumpkin looks like a 2nd world escort, spreading the plagues of STD. That is also very scary, isn't it?

But at night your pumpkin is now a singularity from the void, pulling looks, bodies and souls ..

Happy Halloween!
