Purse Revamp

I bought a classic black purse with a cute pom pom :) But just as it happened I had a traditional Indian wedding to go to and instead of buying a new purse I thought why not just style it to match my dress.

• Purse
• Vector image (floral in this case)
• Printable sticker paper
• Cricut Maker (I used the one available at my local library in Cambridge ON which was free to use)

I used Canva in this case to find some free-to-use floral graphics and downloaded them as PNG

Now that you have found your ideal graphic to put on your purse it's time to convert it into a vector aka removing the background.

For this operation, you can either use a free image editing software such as Inkscape or one of the free options available online.

The online options will compromise the image quality but it is almost unnoticeable.

I used Cricut Design Space to add my vector graphic to the Circut project

After the import, the design can be printed using a normal printer using printable sticker paper. The printout should have a border around the graphic automatically added by the Cricut Design Space. This is important for the Cricut maker to calibrate itself while cutting.

The sticker paper can now be fed into the Cricut Maker for cutting after being attached to the mat.

I chose a very intricate graphic for this project so I had to be extra careful while peeling the sticker. I was really happy with the results and my purse looked really chic.

The best part is I can go back to my classic black purse anytime by peeling off the sticker!
