Puzzle Toy

projecto x.jpg

Well I made this little project to improve my skills in Onshape. So I based it on a project it saw here in Instructables.

Supplies

So I used Onshape to made the pieces and then I printed them but if you don't have a printer you could make them with wood, the deal here is know how to use CAD, draw sketches with Multiview and that's it. Also you'll need a plastic league.

Do the Sketch by Hand in a Paper.

These are the measurements that I used but you can change them, It's up to you.

Go to Onshape and Make the Pieces ( First the Horseshoe).

First make a simple rectangle with the measurements, then extrude the rectangle, after that draw a curve on the top of the rectangle it has to be aligned on both sides then remove everything is left outside the curve. Make a circle on the top (like in the picture) it has to be on the center but up, remove this circle. Then draw two lines draw two lines that are even with the ends of the circle ( from diameter down) after that remove everything is inside of this two lines. Then make two circles in both sides of the piece (at the ends) these circles have to be aligned and the be same size. Finally remove these circles and that would be your piece. Print it twice to get the two pieces equals.

The Ring

For the ring is more simple, first you have to make two lines one horizontal and one vertical (these lines just work as a guide for your shape) after that make a circle in one of the four sides preference over one line but next to the vertical. When you have your circle done make sure you put the distance that you need between the vertical lines and the circle, because this distance will be the measurement of your ring (inside part). Finally extrude the circle and you'll have your ring done.

Put It Together

In this step you will need a plastic league or thin rope, so cut two a rope in two pieces with the same measurement. After that use rope and pass it for one hole of the horseshoe then do the same with the another hole ( watch out the hole have to be in the same side) okey so pass the two ends of the rope through the ring and then tie the ends. Do the same thing in the other side.

Enjoy It
