Today am sharing the pattern for a Quick and Easy Crochet Granny Square Doily. Crochet doilies are a delightful way to add beauty and grace to your home decor. They are great to use as it is or you can also use them as wall decorations or you can also make a couple of them and stitch them up together to form a long lacy Table Runner.

Crocheted Doilies are often made with Crochet Thread which gives it a lacy delicate finish. But you can make them any yarn of your choice. The pattern is a easy and quick with repetitive pattern.

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

Chain 3(this will be counted as 1 Double Crochet)

3 Double Crochets.(that's total 4 Double Crochet made including the Chain 3)

Chain 4.

4 Double Crochets.

Chain 4

Repeat(4DC,Ch4) untill you have total 4 corners.

Pull the yarn end to close the gap.

Slip Stitch into the 3rd Chain.

Round 2:-

** This Round we will be working only into the Corner Chain 4 Spaces.

Chain 5.

4 Double Crochets into the next Chain 4 Space , Chain 4 , 4 Double Crochets into the same space - (this will make 1 Corner)

Chain 2.

Repeat((4DC,Ch4,4DC) , Ch 2)- in each of the Ch4 Corner spaces)

In the last Corner make -(4 Double Crochets , Chain 4 , 3 Double Crochets (**1DC is already made with the Starting Chain 5).

Slip Stitch into the 3rd Chain.

Round 2:-

** This Round we will be working only into the Corner Chain 4 Spaces.

Round 4 Onwards:-

Keep repeating Round 3 untill the size needed and weave off.

Remember to:-

  1. Start each Round with Chain 5.(here the Starting Chain 3 will be counted as a Double Crochet and the remaining stitches will be counted as the Chain 2 space)
  2. Repeat(1DC on each DC ,Ch2 ,(4DC,Ch4,4DC) , Ch 2)- in each of the Ch4 Corner)
  3. To Finish - Slip Stitch into the 3rd Chain.
  4. With each Round the Double Crochets on each of the sides will keep increasing.
  5. Work only on the Double Crochets.
