Rainbow Crystal Necklace
I came across these beautiful rainbow crystals at a craft store not that long ago. I've been saving these crystals for the right project. I thought these pink and green-ish blue beads would go really well with the crystals, and they did! You can use any color of crystals/beads for this project if you don't have any that I used.
Supplies
Green-ish blue seedbeads
Pink or coral beads
5 crystals
Wire [ the size of a necklace that fits you, with a little extra wire at both ends so you have extra wire for the crimp beads ]
Wire cutters
Jewelry pliers
2 jump rings
2 crimp beads
A clasp with ring
Starting Off
Take the wire you measured out and put the crimp bead and one of the attachments of the clasp on one end. [ in that order ] Don't let the jump ring get in front of the crimp bead. Carefully take the extra wire at the end and put it though the crimp bead. [ second picture ] Once that's done, use the pliers and grab onto the part you're going to cut off [ smaller bit ]. And with your other hand, grab onto the jump ring, and pull until it's tight with not that much room to move around. Grab the jewelry pliers and press down as hard as you can on the crimp bead until it's almost flat. Use the wire cutters to cut off that little piece left over. [ Last picture ]
Making a Pattern
You can put the beads in any order you like! Or you can follow my pattern. Put 12 pink beads on the wire, then 3 green-ish blue beads, 1 more pink bead, 3 green-ish blue beads, then to finish off the pattern, put 12 more pink beads on. Do this pattern until you reach less than the halfway mark.
Adding the Crystals
Once you get to less than the halfway mark, put on one crystal. Then a pink bead, green bead, pink bead, green bead, and finally one more pink bead. In total you should use 5 crystals, and do that pink bead, green bead ect, pattern 4 times. To finish off the beading part, do the previous step [ 2nd step ] until you reach the end, with a little extra wire for the crimp bead. Repeat step one. With the pliers, open the jump ring and put the other half of the clasp on. And close the jump ring. [Don't forget to cut off the extra wire.]
Give Yourself a Pat on the Back!
Honestly you should give yourself a pat on the back because now you have one more beautiful necklace to wear! Imagine wearing it with a pretty summer dress!
