Rainbow Solar Power Light

So today we are going to make a rainbow solar power light. This is a farley simple project and is good for the environment.

Materials

1.Mason jar (This is the jar I'm using, you can use any jar but it will need to be glass.Because it will melt from the heat of the light if it's plastic.)

2.Solar power light(You can pretty much find these any where I specifically bought mine at target for 1.60 $.They are going to look like regular garden solar power lights with sticks at the end, all you need to do is take off the top of the actual solar panel connected to the light.Better explanation in further steps.

3.Acrylic paints (I definitely think you need to use Acrylic paints because on the jars water color paints are too thin to be seen. This step will be further explained in the next steps.

4.Tin foil(To help better reflect the light this step is optional bit will definitely help.)

Solar Power Light

So,first you are gonna want to unscrew the cap of your mason jar and take off the solar power light part of your garden light off of the stick.(Better shown in the picture)

Solar Power Lid

The next step is to attach your solar power light from which you removed in the last step to your lid.You will do this by gluing the solar power light to the open lid of your mason jar.(Seen in the video)

Decorating

So since this is a rainbow solar power light your jar should be painted rainbow. You can paint the rainbow stripes any way you want.Really though you can go any where with this like an emoji or just as simple as a one color. But for this i'm doing rainbow stripes going lengthwise across my jar.DO NOT PaINT INSIDE THE JAR.Please pain ton teh outside or your paint will melt if you leave your light on for a long period of time.

Illuminating the Light

This is pretty much your last step this is optional but I do recommend it what you need to do is put tin foil on the bottom inside of your jar to help illuminate the light so it hits the edges of the tin foil and shoots the light everywhere.

Enjoy
