Rechargeable Automatic Wardrobe Lights
While I was changing my clothes last night, suddenly the electricity went out. I can't see the anything inside my wardobe. Looking for other light source, like smarphone flashlight? I don't know where I put my phone. It is make me frustated. Then I found this idea over my head. " The Rechargeable Automatic Wardrobe Lights".
It is quite simple to do, easy to find the material and the most important is >> "cheap" .
The power is coming from the old phone battery.
Let's check it out.
Preparing the Materials and Tools
Materials :
- 2 Mini Bulb 2.5V
- 2 Mini Bulb Fittings
- 1 meter wire
- 1 Razor blade
- Electrical Tape
Tools :
- Cutting Pliers or scissors
- Soldering iron
- Hot glue gun
The Circuit
Measure the lenght of the wire. The length is about 1 meter. Or you can add more lenght as long as you need.
The Switch
This is the important step. No switch = no lights. In this project, I'm using my DIY Switch from old razor blade. Or if you dont have one, you can use anything that made from iron to connect to the power. it is very simple to use.
If you use the razor blade :
- cut it into 2 pieces
- cut the sharp side to avoiding any injuries
- stick it with hot glue, 1 to the door, and the other to the sideline of the door.
- make sure if you open the door, the razor will touching each other.
Connect the Wire
If you finish with the switch, let's connect the wire. Follow the scheme.
It is recommended to seal the razor and the wire with the electric tape.
Test Run and Chargering.
HOW TO CHARGER THE BATTERY :
If you use your old phone battery, just simpply put on the battery to the phone, and charge it as well.
I hope you enjoy my project.
