This is how to make a hot glue stick dispenser using only cardboard and hot glue. With this you can take a hot glue stick from the bottom and a new one will take its place, you can use the hot glue stick that you just took out and, when that glue stick runs out you can grab another one. Now you don’t have to fumble around with a open bag that is prone to spilling everywhere and getting your glue sticks dirty.

Supplies

You will need: a hot glue gun, a craft knife, assorted cardboard pieces (I got my cardboard from shoe boxes.), A pencil, and a ruler.

Mark the length of one glue stick, then mark 5 inches down the cardboard, use the two points to make a rectangle with the edges, cut it out.

Mark 6 inches of the cardboard, turn it into a rectangle, cut it out, then make another one just like it.

Now that you have three cardboard rectangles, you need to glue them together, put the small rectangle at an angle on a larger rectangle, glue it, then put the other large rectangle on top glue it. It should look like the picture.

You should now have a gap in the back that is about 3“ x 4 and three eights inches cut out a piece of cardboard to match the size and glue it in place to match the picture.

You should notice that a glue stick fits in the dispenser, but you need the other side, so cut out a piece of cardboard that is 5 and 1/4“ x 4 3/8“, glue it by lining up the top so you are left with a gap for the glue sticks to come out of.

You are almost done! Put a small ledge on the bottom of the dispenser to keep all of the glue from rolling out.

and Finally...

No project would be complete without some decorating I looked around for some camouflage paper but couldn’t find it so I improvised and used some scraps of pine tree paper and because it is going on Instructables I put the robot on the front.

Enjoy

I hope this project help you with future crafts as you now have an easy way to grab new sticks whilst in the middle of gluing. Thank you very much for reading this goodbye .
