I had a trike given to me for the grandkids and wanted to clean up the rust on the chrome.

Supplies

Tear a few squares of aluminum foil, bowl of water, sheet of sandpaper,,toothbrush

Tear about 6 squares of aluminum foil and making a ball shape set two into a pot of water

While letting the foil soak if there is any heavy rust you can do some sanding with a sheet of sandpaper

While the foil is wet take the first ball shape and start scrubbing the handlebars once it dries out re dip it into the water. In the hard to reach spots you can attach the sandpaper to the toothbrush handle and work into the hubs of the rim. You can also use a rubberband and attach the foil to the handle also.

Although not necessary I applied some wax and then buffed the bikes chrome, this will also help protect it from more rust.
