Remotely Connect to BYU's CAEDM Accounts

These instructions allow students at Brigham Young University (BYU) who have access to the Computer Aided Engineering Design and Manufacturing (CAEDM) network, to access their J: drive from any computer with an internet connection.
This set of steps is applicable to computers running a Windows operating system. You may only open files using programs that are installed on your computer. (e.g., to open an Auto Cad file you must have Auto Cad installed on the computer you are using.)


Open "My Computer" on Any Windows Computer

Open My Computer.

Type ftp.et.byu.edu into the address bar and press enter.

Right click on the white space inside the window.

Click on login as.

Enter your CAEDM ID and password and click Log On button.

If done correctly your window should now display the files in your "J:" drive.
