This instructable shows you how to remove a late model vw bus engine and transmission together.  I have to do engine removal this way due to some guy rear ending me... grrrr... but I do find that it's less frustrating getting everything back aligned and re-installed this way.   This is a photo guide.  Read through the whole thing first.  If you need more detailed instructions consult your Bentley manual.  If you don't have one, get one you'll need it any way.
