Insteat of throwing to trash i decided to make something usefull with it.

There's a photo with the things that you need...the project is very cheap and easy to do.

Know the Device

The first thing i did was to try the laptop to see if it still works...

I checked the wifi network, hdd , ram and speakers because i wanted to include them inside the box, the screen was broken and the keyboard didnt work.

Dissembly

This step was to take apart all of the computer hardware and do all the maintenance necessary, like the replacement of a the thermal past at the cpu and gpu.

Taking Measures

In this part i only did some measures and decided to make my media center a litle bit high in way that the air can flow freely. I decided to use mdf wood because it can take a good amount of heat without burning and its very resistent, so i cut 2 mdf pieces of the same size one for the top and the other for the bottom. Then i made a wood chasis for the motherboard, i did it in small pieces because i didnt want to make heat spots, so only used some of the screws places that mounted the board before, like this the air can flow and the board would be secure.

Time to Put It All Together

I decided to reduce the space of the media center and changed the hdd position, to do this i needed to buy a special cable a male/female sata and power.

Time to Close It

In this step it was time to put the top on it...and it fits....yeahh time to put some screws and done...

Vinil Touch

I didn't want it to be looking like a piece of wood so i decided to put some black film. For the final touch i printed a skull decal to put it on the top for a cool look.

All Done
