Reusable Baby Wipe Holder
I'm a dad. I'm also cheap. And with two kids we tend to go through lots of baby wipes. Here is a practical 'ible that shows how to reuse a disposable wipe lid to make your own refillable travel wipe holder.
Gather Materials and Tools
1 Disposable wipe holder you were about to throw away. Most brands I have seen have a similar style detachable plastic lid. Go for one of those.
1 Freezer bag. I used a gallon size. thicker is better, and one that zips well. We don't want our wipes drying out.
A hot glue gun. And it wouldn't work without hot glue.
Newspaper or cardboard to act as a buffer between the sides of the freezer bag.
Xacto knife
Optional sharpie or marker.
Wipes to fill up your new holder. If you're reading this, then you're likely a parent who already knows where to get wipe refills.

Detach Plastic Lid
This step doesn't take long, so go ahead and warm up the glue gun.
Detach the plastic lid off the old wipes packaging. It takes little force, just pull. Make sure the detached lid is relatively residue free.

Glue the Lid
Using an extra wipe as a placement template on the freezer bag, make a mental note of where the lid should go. You can optionally use a marker to mark the spot. This isn't an exact science as the wipes will likely shift around when in use.
Put some folded up newspaper or cardboard on the inside of the freezer bag. This will keep the glue from melting the backside of the bag and keep you from cutting through the back side in a later step.
If your glue is hot enough, go ahead and spread a bead around the bottom surface of the plastic lid.

Stick It to the Man
Let the glue cool just a hair and firmly press onto the freezer bag wherever you decided earlier that it should be placed.
Keep pressure on the lid to ensure a tight seal until you surmise that the glue has cooled.

Cut Wipe Hole
Now you will need to cut the hole where the wipes will exit. This is personal preference on how easy or difficult you like to make it on yourself to remove the wipes. Larger hole = more wipes will exit. I opted for a similar sized hole in comparison to the old wipes container.
Mark your hole and cut it out with an xacto knife.

Reap the Rewards of Your Hard Work
Remove the newspaper and fill your new travel wipes container with some baby wipes. Many brands sell wipes without containers. Fill it up and take them anywhere.
