INGREDIENTS
- 750 g Turkey
- 3 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Onion Granules
- 1 tsp Paprika
Prepare the Turkey Thighs
Pat the turkey thighs dry with paper towels. This helps the skin become crispier during cooking.
Make some deep cuts in the thigh to help marinade get in better.
Seasoning
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Rub the marinade to all parts of the turkey ensuring the marination reaches inside the deep cuts.
Marinade
Marinade chicken for at least 1 hours; overnight marination in the fridge is even better.
Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating helps to ensure even cooking.
Cooking
Place the seasoned turkey thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down.
Cook for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, flip the thighs so the skin side is up. This will allow the skin to crisp up nicely.
Continue to cook for another 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the turkey thighs reaches 165°F (74°C). Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature at the thickest part of the thigh without touching the bone.
Resting
Once cooked, remove the turkey thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. This helps the juices redistribute, making the meat more tender and juicy.
Serving
Curve and serve the turkey thighs hot, with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired. They pair wonderfully with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a crisp green salad.
In one hours time you get Perfectly Grilled Roast Turkey Dinner. It should be perfectly cooked from inside and all juicy with crispy skin that has smokey flavor with that chargrilled appearance.
