Rocket Ball Table
I have always loved playing rocket ball and I have always wanted to make my own rocket ball table i had bought the balls for the rocket ball table 3 months ago but just never got around to actually building the table . But thanks to the quarantine, I finally have time to. So here's how to make a rocket ball table in 4 easy steps.
Supplies
4 - 9" X 96" Flat Planks
5 - 2" X 4" X 144" Pressure Treated Boards
1 - 25" X 96" Flat Board
8 - 3.5" Carriage Bolts with washer and nut
1 - 24" X 144" Carpet
Wood screws
Drill
Saw
Pool Balls
Optional paint or stain
Step 1: Build the Frame of the Rocket Ball Table
- Take one of the 9" X 96" planks and cut the plank to make two 9" X 25" pieces.
- Next get one of the 9" X 96" flat planks and one of the 9" X 25" and screw them together at the end.
- Do this step again with the 9" X 96" flat planks and the 9" X 25" and screw them together at the end.
- Now line up the pieces of wood to make a square and then screw it together.
Step 2: Putting in the Studs and Pocket
- Take the 2" X 4" X 140" pressure treated boards and cut it into 6 pieces that are 25 in long.
- Now take one of the 9" X 96" flat planks and cut 2 pieces 25 in long.
- Take both of the 9" X 25" flat planks and screw them in at the end of the frame
- Now ever 14 in screw in one of the 2" X 4" X 25"
Step 3: Make the Legs and Putting Them On
- First get the 2" X 4" X 140" and cut 4 pieces that are 33 1/2 in long
- Next get the 2" X 4" X 140" and cut 4 pieces that are 30 in long
- Now line up one of the 33 1/2 in piece with a 30 in piece then glue and screw them together do this step 4 times to make all four of the legs
- Next drill two holes in the frame 16 in away from the edge do this step 4 times for all of the legs
- Now drill two holes in all four of the legs
- Grab two of the 3.5" Carriage Bolts with washer and nut and hammer it in to the hole and the tighten it repeat this step 4 times to get all of the legs attached
Step 4: Putting the Board and Carpet on
- If your board is not already cut to size to fit in the frame go a ahead and cut it to 25" X 96"
- After it is cut to 25" X 96" you can go ahead and cut your carpet to 25" X 115"
- Now you can glue it to the board or you can nail to the board
- Now you can put the board on the frame and screw it in
- After you screw it in you can nail or glue the carpet in to the packet
