For this project you will need:

  • CR2032 battery
  • CR2032 battery holder
  • M3x10mm screw
  • 3mm white LED
  • Microswitch 2 positions
  • 180 ohms resistor
  • Solder iron
  • 3D printer

Print the Case

This step is pretty straightforward: just print the box in the color you want. I printed the difuser white, but you can test other colors.

No meticulous parameters are necessary, I used 0.32mm layer.

Bending the Pins

This circuit uses a 180 ohms resistor to limit the current. The two leds are in paralel.

Bend the pins and solder in the way showed in the pictures:

1 - bend the longer leg to make it inclined

2 - bend the head of the led to make it perpendicular

3 - make a "U" format in the shorter pin.

4 - in the end, the two leds must be in a triangle shape

Soldering the Pins

Be sure to solder the pins the way it is showed in the image.

If cathode and anode are inverted, it won't work.

Glue Everything and Close the Box

Test the leds before closing.

Enjoy!
