Got fresh snow? Or better yet--a snow storm on the way? Try out this ultimate root beer float!

Supplies

  • Snow
  • Root beer
  • Vanilla extract
  • Milk
  • Whipped cream
  • Measuring spoons
  • Large metal bowl
  • Small metal bowl
  • Ice cream dish

Collecting Fresh Snow

Place a large bowl outside while the snow is falling, so you can collect and use the freshest snow, if possible. Otherwise, you may collect already fallen snow in a bowl.

Leave the bowl of snow outside until ready to serve.

Making the Vanilla Flavoring

In a small metal bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Bring the bowl of snow into the house, and place a generous scoop in an ice cream dish. Then pour the vanilla flavoring on top of the snow. Generously pour root beer over the vanilla snow ice cream, until it is fully saturated.

Serve
