The Purdue Society of Professional Engineers Rube Goldberg Team showing a successful complete run of the "The Time Machine" with a World Record Breaking 244 linear steps. Throughout the years, the quality of these contraptions has increased exponentially. The machine that is presented has been considered by senior participants as one of the best Rube Goldberg machines ever made at Purdue. Also the machine was appreciated by Jennifer George, Rube Goldberg's granddaughter.

Right now, the machine is being evaluated by the Guinness Records and the Purdue team is waiting for confirmation of the broken record. The machine has been featured in several tech and science web pages such as Popular Mechanics. Also, the machine is probably being featured on some T.V. shows.
