Rustic Hemp Cord Ear Top
This is a fun to make rustic hemp cord ear top.
This ear tops inspiration came from hippies.
It's not really glossy and shiny but it suits your daily outfits pretty nicely.
Materials
For this project you need:
- Hemp cord.
- Pearl Beads
- Scissors
- Needle
- Thread
- White Glue.
- Fabrics
- Blank ear tops.
Roll & Stitch
Thread a needle.
Take a long piece of hemp cord.
Apply glue on one end of the cord.
Then gently press the glued area.
Roll the cord to make a swirl.
Keep rolling it until you have the size you want.
After rolling stitch the bottom of the swirl, though the both side is the same but just stitch one side, keep the other side clean.
Secure#1
After sewing cut off the extras.
Now glue the last cut area and stick it nicely with the whole thing.
Secure#2
Cut out a square piece fabric bigger than the swirl.
Then glue the fabric piece on the back of the hemp cord swirl.
When the glue is quite dried, cut off the square piece into the same shape as the swirl.
This helps to cover the stitches and make a stronger base for the ear top.
You can also use hot glue if you want.
Decorate
Take a pearl bead and glue it on the middle of the hemp cord piece.
Then take a blank ear top and glue it on the back of the piece.
Leave it to dry.
Well ta-da it's done, simple as that ......
I hope you all like this instructables.
