SIMPLE CARBOT || ARDUINO || BLUETOOTH CONTROL || TUTORIAL
IN THIS INSTRUCTABLE I WILL SHOW HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE BOT THAT IS CONTROLLED BY YOUR SMARTPHONE VIA BLUETOOTH
PARTS NEEDED:
☻ARDUINO
☻2X GEAR MOTORS
☻HC-05 BLUETOOTH MODULE
☻LAPTOP OR PC (FOR UPLOADING CODE TO ARDUINO
☻POWER SUPPLY ( I USED A POWER BANK TO SAVE BATTERIES)
☻JUMPER WIRES
☻WHEELS
☻CHASSIS (CAR BODY)
PREPARE THE WHEELS
I JOINED TWO WHEELS TOGETHER TO MAKE A WIDE WHEEL AS SHOWN IN ORDER TO GAIN MORE STABILITY
FOR EXTRA STABILITY I USED SUPER GLUE AND REMOVED EXTRA GLUE USING ACETONE
FIX THE MOTORS TO THE CHASSIS(CAR BODY)
FIRST SOLDER TWO JUMPER WIRES TO EACH OF THE MOTORS AS SHOWN
NEXT, FIX THE MOTORS TO THE CHASSIS USING BOLT .
ATTACH THE WHEELS TO THE MOTORS
PRESS AND TWIST A LITTLE TO ATTACH TO THE WHEELS TO THE MOTOR
WIRE UP THE MOTORS TO THE MOTOR DRIVER
JOIN THE 4 WIRES FROM THE MOTOR TO EACH OF THE 4 OUTPUT OF THE MOTOR DRIVER.
CONNECT MOTOR DRIVER TO ARDUINO
CONNECT EACH OF THE 4 INPUT OF THE MOTOR DRIVER TO PIN 8,9,10,11 RESPECTIVELY OF TH E ARDUINO UNO
POWER SUPPLY FOR MOTORS
I USED A USB TO SUPPLY POWER TO MY BOT
SIMPLY STRIP OF THE FREE END OF THE USB AND REMOVE THE INSULATION TO REVEAL 4 WIRES.
KEEP BLACK AND RED WIRES AND CUT OF THE OTHER TWO WIRES.
JOIN RED TO + AND BLACK TO NEGATIVE OF THE MOTOR DRIVER POWER SUPPLY.
CONNECT BLUETOOTH
CONNECT THE BLUETOOTH DEVICE HC-05 TO THE ARDUINO:
connect rx of bluetooth to tx of arduino
connect tx of bluetooth to rx of arduino
vcc to +5v
gnd to gnd
UPLOAD THE CODE
OPEN THE CODE WITH THE BELOW LINK AND UPLOAD TO THE ARDUINO
LINK:https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LFiq5kcdtwzrAfNUjZtbnxqNwQx4e9pM
NOTE: REMOVE THE TX AND R PIN OF BLUETOOTH BEFORE UPLOADING THE CODE
BLUETOOTH APP
☻Download Arduino Bluetooth controller from play store
☻click on connect and select your bluetooth device.
☻open the controller mode and click on set commands from the side menu
☻Set the values as
up-1
down-2
left-3
right-4
NOTE: YOU MAY NEED TO DO A LITTLE TRIAL AND ERROR AND CHANGE THE CONFIGURATION OF THE CODE OR MOTORS A LITTLE IN ORDER TO GET THE DESIRED OUTCOME
CONGRATS!!
YOU JUST FINISHED MAKING THE BOT
NOW YOU CAN CONTROL THE BOT FROM YOUR PHONE.
NOTE: YOU CAN ALSO USE 9V BATTERIES TO SUPPLY POWER TO MOTOR DRIVER AND AVOID USING A POWER BANK
