SKULL MASK

In my robotics class we have to put flashing LED lights to this Halloween skull mask using our soldering skills. All the parts used in this project are paid for and also the correct parts.

Parts and Tools:

PARTS:

  • Resistors
  • trimmer
  • Transistor
  • Electrolytic capacitor
  • Circuit board
  • 4 Breadboard Jumper Wires 1 pin 10Cm Male to Female Jumper Cable 40 Pcs.
  • 2 5 cm flashing LED lights.
  • 2 coin batteries.
  • battery holder.

TOOLS:

  • Wire stripper
  • Wire cutter
  • Pliers
  • 2 Flat heads
  • 2 Screwdrivers
  • 1 small screw driver
  • Soldering kit

Soldering:

Following the manual above solder all the parts onto the circuit board except step 5 on the manual. Instead of following step 5 on the manual solder the breadboard jumper wires. The breadboard jumper wires works as extended chords so that you can put the lights wherever you want. Make sure that all the parts are soldered in the correct place.

Soldering and Testing

After all the parts are soldered, we soldered the battery holder to the circuit board and the placed the batteries in the battery holder and also connected the LED's to the breadboard jumper wires. We made sure that the lights were working before moving on to the next step.

Glueing the Parts on the Skull:

After all the parts are soldered together and are working, we used a hot glue gun to glue the circuit board and the lights onto the skull mask.
