I live in a new subdivision, and they are breaking ground almost every day on a new lot. They constantly are digging up red sandstone rocks and pushing them in to a pile. Every day after work I drive by and pick up as many as I can. After a few weeks I have enough to start laying them out.

After I was happy with my layout, I started by laying down some large pieces of cardboard to act as a weed barrier. I started stacking the dry stacking the rocks and fitting them the best I could. The brick fence had a 3 inch gap on the bottom. I took some broken bricks from the construction site and blocked the hole

I went down to my local landscape supply and bought 3 yards of garden soil. The cost was $30.00 a yard but is top notch for raised beds. I grabbed my wheel barrow and started shoveling. I left one side of the raised bed open and just rolled it in and dumped it out. All I’m planting in there is tomatoes, jalapenos and onions. I figured I could make a bunch of salsa.
