Switches are boring, turn on your PC with a "swipe" of a card!

This is another way to turn on your computer!

The connections to the switch are on side A and side B where wires are attached to provide the contacts to the computer motherboard.

Just swipe the card down the slot and it creates a momentary switch; This is enough to start the computer.

There is a detailed drawing of the dimensions, in the picture you can see the measurements and orientation of the contacts.

I have found that brass split pins work best as the contacts they are smooth and resilient.

also some shots of the prototype being constructed.

See my instructable on momentary switches, and check out the details of them.

Have fun!
