Saddle a Western Horse

Using a saddle is more comfortable and more safe then riding bareback unless you are really good at riding bareback.

Put the Saddle Blanket on

Sorry don't have a picture to show. You will need to place the blanket on the center of the horse's back. We use the horse blanket to help keep the saddle from rubbing and hurting the horse while you ride.

When you place the saddle on the horse, make sure you put the left side of the fender up onto the saddle out of the way before putting it on the horse.

Here is how it should look when you put the saddle on right on the center of the horse.

Tightening Your Girth

Tighten your girth so that the saddle wont fall off when you ride.

Making Sure Your Saddle Is Secure

Put your four fingers and try to fit them between horses stomach and if your fingers cant side between then the mean your girth is good and tighten. If your finger can slide between then that means the girth in not tighten good enough.
