Savory Biscuits Stuffed With Butter and Taco Seasoning

These savory biscuits are crispy, tastes unique because of the taco seasoning and cumin seeds and have lots of layers because of the butter. I really really wish you try it because these biscuits are awesome :)

Ingredients Required

  • All purpose flour - 2 cups
  • Butter - 4 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Taco seasoning - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 5 tbsp
  • Oil - for deep frying
  • For filling :
  • Maida - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - 2 tbsp

Method to Prepare the Biscuits

  • In a mixing bowl add all purpose flour, salt, cumin seeds and melted butter
  • Mix the butter well into the flour
  • Create a small well and add water little by little to get a stiff dough
  • Cover with damp cloth for about 15 minutes
  • In the meanwhile for the filling, mix room temperature butter and all purpose flour well and keep aside
  • After 15 minutes, with the help of rolling pin, roll the dough into thin sheet and spread the filling very well on the thin sheet
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning on top of the filling
  • Tightly roll the dough as shown in the picture
  • Cut the roll into 1/2 inch circles
  • Take each circle and press it between both the palms
  • With the rolling pin, roll each circle to get 1/4 inch width and make a triangle out of each circle as shown in the picture
  • Deep fry in medium to low flame and store in air tight container once cooled. Can be eaten upto 2 months :)
