Scale, Copy & Paste
Project Overview:
In this project you will learn how to drag, scale and copy paste shapes on your workplane.
We're starting with a blank workplane for this project, so here we go!
Add Shapes to the Workplane
This lesson walks through the steps to scale shapes on the workplane.
Instructions
- Begin by finding the orange Cylinder in the Basic Shapes list on the right side of the browser.
- Now, click on the cylinder and drag it over to the workplane.
- Drop it into the area outlined in orange. Nice!
- Continue to the next step.
Repeat the Process
Let's try that one more time. Go ahead and add another cylinder to the workplane.
Instructions
- Repeat the process again by dragging another orange cylinder onto the workplane in the next area outlined in orange.
- You've got it. Great work!
- Continue to the next step.
Scale Your Cylinder
Now here's the fun part! You are going to scale the orange cylinder you just dragged onto the workplane to a height of 15mm.
Instructions
- Click and drag the white dot on top of the shape. Drag down to make the shape 15mm.
- There you go, you got it!
- Continue to the next step.
Copy & Paste the Last Shape
Let's add one more cylinder. This time let's copy one of the cylinders that is already on the workplane.
Instructions
- Select the cylinder you want to copy. It doesn't matter which cylinder you select.
- Press Ctrl+C on your keyboard (Windows) or Cmd+C (Mac) to copy the shape.
- Then, press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste the copy on the workplane.
Drag the new shape to the area outlined in orange.
- Continue to the next step.
Scale the Last Cylinder
The last cylinder needs to be 10mm tall.
Instructions
- Click and drag the white dot on top of the shape to scale the shape to 10mm tall.
- You did it!
