Secret Pocket to Make a Mask Cool
Life is full of inconveniences. Especially when you have to wear a mask when you don't want to! Instead of wearing a boring old mask, here's something to add to it that makes it not as boring!
Supplies
- Recyclable mask
- A small Ziploc sandwich bag
- Tape
Seperate the Layers
First, separate the white layer of the mask from the other two front layers.
Cut a Hole
From below the seam lines that are underneath the bendy metal strip, cut down wards. Do this until you cut about 1/3 into the first fold of the mask. Be careful not to cut through the other two layers!
Cut the Bag
Hold a small bag up to the seam line underneath the bendy metal strip. Mark a line on the bag where the end of your cut line is on your mask.
Trim the Top Edge
Use a scissor to cut the top edge off that does not contain the part of the bag that seals.
Finish Cutting the Bag
Now, cut on the marked line down to about 1 to 1 and 1/2 inches up from the bottom of the bag.
Tape the Bag
Cut a piece of tape long enough to cover from the top of the bag to the bottom of the bag. Fold the tape around the Ziploc.
Tape the End of the Ziploc
Next, cut a piece of tape the length of the end of the Ziploc. Wrap the tape around the end of the Ziploc.
Add Tape to the Ziploc
Slip the Ziploc into the mask until only about 1/3 of the Ziploc is showing. Cut two pieces of tape and loop them around themselves, so it looks like the picture above. Tape them on both sides of the top of the Ziploc.
Tape the Ziploc to the Mask
After adding the tape to the outside of the Ziploc, pull up on the top of the first layer of the mask that was cut in the second step. Then, stick the Ziploc inside and squeeze it so the tape sticks to the inside of the mask.
Fit Stuff in the Secret Pocket!
You're finished!! Now, you can fit small stuff into your secret pocket! Hope you can enjoy the cool secret pocket for your mask!
