I thought these sandals needed a little more color so I found an Archie comic book and got out my decoupage glue! These cute wedges can be decorated in just a couple of hours.

To make these you will need the following supplies:

Pair of shoes with cork platforms

Mod Podge glue

Scissors

Cut Up Comic Book

Tear out a couple of pages and trim off the white border. Cut each page into 8 or 10 squares.

Glue Paper to Shoe

Cut small sections of comic, dab a bit of glue onto the cork platform near the bottom and spread a thin layer with finger or Q-tip. Place paper onto the glue and press down smoothly, getting rid of any air bubbles. Smear a thin layer of glue on top of the paper. Repeat around entire shoe, trimming paper around edges as you go.

You can cover the top of the shoe with a towel and spray lightly with hairspray to seal the decoupage. They didn't take very long to make, maybe an hour per shoe.I am pleased with the way these turned out! I'm going to keep an eye out for another pair...
